1. Does the Probate Judge perform marriages?: No, you will have to contact a minister in Charlton County to ask them to perform the marriage. It is also not sufficient for a Notary Public to perform a marriage in the State of Georgia either. If you use a minister here, there is a fee that will range from $40 to $60 payable to the minister. If you use your own minister, you would need to provide the minister’s credentials.
